The Center for Human Rights and Citizenship of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University (CDEHC) was distinguished in two categories, having been chosen in the category Research in Human Rights and Community and Humanitarian Actions. As person of the year in Human Rights, Dr. Maria Teresa Manuela, African Union Commissioner for Human Rights. In the Culture of Peace and Citizenship category, the big winner was the civil society organization Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA). This award aims to annually distinguish, for relevance and excellence, personalities and institutions that make outstanding contributions to the protection, promotion and deepening of Human Rights and Citizenship in Angola or to the prestige of organizations operating in the sector.
